News about groups

What An Opportunity!

Many of you will have seen and heard performances by MID8DLE, our group of musicians who regularly get together on Thursday mornings to enjoy music…if not, just click on the image above and you’ll be able to enjoy the Zoom performances that were put together during Lockdown.

Angie, the singer, has had to give up her role so the group is now looking for a new singer…male or female. As you can appreciate, although our groups are open to all, in this case the singer does need to be able to work with this group of musicians, and be able to sing!

If you would like to have a try out with this talented group of musicians, it would be good to choose one of these songs which form part of their repertoire:

Route 66, Autumn Leaves, Georgia, Make You Feel My Love, Quando Quando, The Girl From Ipanema and Midnight Hour.

If you fancy having a try out for this group, just contact Hilary and she will pass on your contact details to the group leader who will take it from there.

To join this group or any of our groups all you need to do is to contact the groups’ coordinator, Hilary Loney, at
Phone: 01737 929104
Or simply complete the Group enquiry form on the website.

Coffee Morning

Our next coffee morning will be at 10.15 on 11 August in the upper foyer of the Harlequin. This is a great way to meet with Committee and other members. Coffee and teas available to be purchased. Do bring your laptops or tablets for computer support, and books, CDs, DVDs and jigsaws for swapping.

Covid - 19 Guidance

The guidance from the Government about staying safe during the current pandemic allows all of us to make decisions for ourselves, but with inevitable knock-on effects for others. Our Monthly Meetings and Coffee Mornings are now in person with clear guidance on attending safely. Group leaders will continue to ask their members to conform with the requirements that they deem necessary but these may differ from group to group depending upon the assessment of risk.
