Proposed New Group

Forest Fitness Activities

We have a member who is very keen to start a new group which involves fitness and well-being activities, centred in Priory Park Forest. As a member of our u3a a few years ago, he led a successful outdoor fitness group. He is a fully qualified Fitness Professional and for years has worked with older groups, exploring the fitness activity opportunities available to all of us.

We'd like to thank the Outings Team for an excellent programme of outings in 2023, and in particular Jane Rayner who is stepping down as lead organiser after 5 years.

u3a Online Learning Events

In the first four months of this year, there were 65 online learning events - all free - offered by the Third Age Trust. Over 11,000 u3a members took advantage of this amazing free resource - were you one of them? If not, have a look at the events on the u3a website by clicking HERE to see if there is anything that would interest you, and while you are there, click on the "subscribe now" button to get regular updates of new talks.

Covid - 19 Guidance

The guidance from the Government about staying safe during the current pandemic allows all of us to make decisions for ourselves, but with inevitable knock-on effects for others. Our Monthly Meetings and Coffee Mornings are now in person with clear guidance on attending safely. Group leaders will continue to ask their members to conform with the requirements that they deem necessary but these may differ from group to group depending upon the assessment of risk.
