What's New? - May 2024

Your May 2024 update:

Detailed information about upcoming events can be found in the current Bulletin and by following links below.

Renewal of Membership 2024/25

Nearly all our members have renewed their membership for 2024/25.  A final reminder email has been sent out over the weekend of 04/05 May 2024 to those few remaining members who have yet to renew .

Sewing Buddies 2…this group has been set up by a very new member who wanted to join Sewing Buddies 1 which just happens to be full. The group will be meeting on the 1st Wednesday of the month at the group leader’s house.

We have three groups which we really would like to get off the ground as soon as possible!

Advanced French….although we have several on the waiting list we could do with a few more French linguists in order to form a viable group! Currently, there is no set day or time and those joining the group will be able to contribute their ideas at the inaugural meeting.

Lunch Club…this group most definitely needs more members. If you’d like to widen your dining experiences in and around Reigate and Redhill then this could be perfect for you.  I would strongly suspect that this group will meet on different days each month. If you are already a member of one of the other lunch groups and would like to join this one too, not a problem!

Climate Change…many of you just may be wondering why this is a new group. Well, the original group was disbanded a couple of years ago. It had been set up immediately before Lockdown and never really got started due to a variety of factors. However, this a topic which the group leader would love to explore more fully and is keen to get the group going again.

Covid - 19 Guidance

The guidance from the Government about staying safe during the current pandemic allows all of us to make decisions for ourselves, but with inevitable knock-on effects for others. Our Monthly Meetings and Coffee Mornings are now in person with clear guidance on attending safely. Group leaders will continue to ask their members to conform with the requirements that they deem necessary but these may differ from group to group depending upon the assessment of risk.
