Greetings, fellow lovers of music,

My name is Alan and I have recently joined the Redhill and Reigate division of the U3A.

My passion is music and I have decided that I want to spend the thirty or so years I have remaining, performing music and entertaining others. I have previously suggested beginning a jazz group, and so far I have recruited a bass player (I play guitar fairly well and sing badly… but then so did Chet Baker and that didn’t stop him!)

I would like now to extend the genres I am willing to work with.

My tastes are totally eclectic and include all types of ‘classical’ and ‘world’ music too. Norwegian Death Metal and Cliff Richard are maybe a little too far beyond the pale, however!
