U3A during Lockdown

Physical distancing means most of our normal U3A activities continue to be restricted. The U3A follows government guidelines and this means some changes as lockdown is gradually relaxed. Group meetings in someone’s home are still not possible. Groups of up to six can now meet outdoors which could include meeting in a garden. Community halls are now allowed to open but physical distancing rules apply. Our aim remains to find ways of staying active and in touch.

Zoom and other video conferencing software is now used widely. It is unlikely that we will be able hold our usual monthly meetings in the foreseeable future so we have ‘gone on line’. Each month there will be a virtual meeting and talk which can be accessed through Zoom and, replacing Coffee Mornings, there will be 'Meet & Chat' sessions. You will find the details on the What's On page here.
