Book Group 3

Our mixed group meets to discuss and share ideas about the books we have chosen to read. Approximately every six months we select a wide range of books suggested by the group members. These include Prize winners, travel books , biographies, classics, crime novels and books exploring the themes of relationships, love and loss. We don’t all have the same response to the books we read but that makes for lively discussion. We select two books each month, hoping that at least one will appeal to every member.
Several of us read both books and everyone has read at least one. Because of the varied interests of the members, we have been introduced to a wider range of books and authors than we would have chosen ourselves. We often find the books some members have chosen not to read appeals to them having listened to the discussion.
